Okay I’m really pissed. The worst happened to me just now. I’d fully drafted today’s newsletter. Everything was ready. All that was left was proofreading. I however wanted to add a link and I was encountering a few glitches.
Before I could say “Jack Robinson”, I accidentally pressed a pop up notification and poof! I lost more than half of what I’d drafted. Why meeeeeeeee?😭
It was particularly painful because I wrote my heart literally, into that newsletter. I tried to brace up and rewrite but it honestly wasn’t coming together like the previous one.
Suddenly I felt tired from within. I had a good mind to just make a “no newsletter for today” announcement on my Socials and it just didn’t sit right with me.
It was at that moment I realized the courage required to start things over; be it a new career, a new relationship or even relocation. The start of a thing always means the end of another thing. It also means readjustments, relearnings and lots of adapting.
I’m therefore dedicating this week’s newsletter to everyone out there, considering new starts in their lives at the moment, or those of you who have already embarked on those journeys already. You’re strong and should wear your invisible super hero cape proudly. Quitting is always easy. Starting something new (and following it through )is the real flex.
Raise your glasses virtual comrades, to courage and new beginnings🥂
Talk about resilience! 💪🏿
🥂 this is inspiring and feels directed at me, I relocated two months ago. Thanks Dedoyin!
